O'Grady is also well known for her leading roles in several television movies. She has been nominated for an Primetime Emmy Award three times. O'Grady was married six occasions. Following her breakup with artist Robert Claypool she sought a an order of restraining him from 1995. Gail says he was stalking her but did not get one.
